~ Hair ~
DANDRUFF
APPLE CIDER VINEGAR: The vinegar is poured into the hair, massaged into the scalp, and left to dry for a few minutes. Then the hair is washed. The process is repeated daily until the dandruff disappears, usually within a few days.
DAMAGED, DRY HAIR
EGG: A nourishing conditioner for dry or damaged hair which can be used for all hair types: Separate the white of an egg from the yolk, whip it to a peak. Add 1 Tb. of water to the yolk and blend until the mixture is creamy. Then mix the white and yolk together. Wet your hair with warm water, remove the excess moisture, and apply the mixture to your scalp with your fingertips. Massage gently until the froth is worked into your scalp, then rinse the hair with cool water. Keep applying the mixture until it is used up and then rinsed until all of the egg is washed away.
HAIR LIGHTENER
RHUBARB: To lighten hair, use 1/4 c. chopped fresh rhubarb to 2 c. boiling water. Cool; strain; apply as a rinse.
Mayonnaise - will KILL LICE; it will also condition your hair
Shiny Hair - use brewed Lipton Tea
Shine Up Your Hair:
Mash up an avocado with a tablespoon of olive oil and a tsp of baking powder. Mix until well combined and then work the mixture through your hair. Wash out in 15 minutes.
~ Make your own Hot Oil Treatment ~
1 teaspoon soybean oil
2 teaspoons castor oil
Mix the soybean and castor oil in a pan and heat on low. Massage into your hair and your scalp and wrap head in a hot towel for 15 - 20 minutes, then shampoo.
~ Hair Tip ~
Using too much shampoo will strip the oils from your hair and contribute to flyaway hair. Massage the lather into your hair, don't rub. You can activate the sabaceous glands, causing more oil to be released. Rubbing can also cause the hair to catch on the other hairs, causing hair damage

~ Homeade Hair Mousse ~
Dissolve 1/4 teaspoon plain gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Let sit at room temperature until slightly set. Rub into dry or wet hair, and blow dry.
~ If your hair usually lies flat against your scalp, it can accumulate shine dulling grease, try using a deep-cleaning shampoo daily and apply a clarifying gel treatment to roots once a week to prevent oil buildup.
~ Hair Build up Rinse ~
1/4 cup vinegar
1 cup water
Use this mix when shampooing hair. It will help remove product buildup.
